Accounting Cock Up

I decided a few days ago to record all my P&L in £'s so filtered my table and Multiplied up all the $ Accounts by the Exchange Rate, or so I thought ..... turns out I'd also reduced a number of my £ accounts by the Exchange Rate also.

So the last 2 days have been spent confirming all my Balances match what I physically have. I'm now richer than I thought I was 3 Days ago !!

Apart from that very little increase through Betting/Gaming and played just a few 'No Lose' tourneys - there seems to be enough of these type of games to keep me occupied  whilst I'm relearning the art :)
 Also a fair few Sidegames, and Freebet Freerolls on the Bookmaker Poker sites.

Tonight I'm playing a Hills Freebet Freeroll,plus my regular 'Pantsdown' $1 (66p) Buy-In

Head or Arse

Today registered for 8 Poker Tourneys, mostly 4 Freerolls the remainder costing around £18 Total - When I played Poker before I used to Multi Table easily 5-6 Tourneys - but now with around 6 flashing up at once I didn't now if I was on my head or my arse.......
Add into that the wife returning home from a day at the seaside and me having to help unload the car with around 5 Tourneys in full flight - I crashed and burned in all of them.

I must have been on sit out for around 25 minutes on most of them.......

So Poker Balance as of Day 6 -£22.19 (-£18 Today)

However I fared better on the gambling side, in the early hours I fired up my favorite slot whilst browsing the forums. I only had $15 on the site and was clicking away playing $0.20 Spins spun it up to $25 then had $5 at $1 spins when I hit the bonus round twice almost in succession .
On the bonus round you chose between 7 random 'Free Spin' boxes and the 6 random 'Win Multipliers' - and I hit maximum on the first bonus of 20 'Free Spins' at 10 x Multipler, second Bonus I hit 10 'Free Spins' with 7 x Multiplier.

Came off winning £185 !! -  Very nice

On the Betting side I took £30 out of a Deposit Bonus I had been offered, via the Spurs game, could have won £100 if the big odds prediction had come in - but I'm happy with a guaranteed £30.

I also managed a small profit from a Bingo Side game offer.

So overall the Day 6 Gambling Balance is £335.13 (+218.79 Today)

In fact now I'm not actually doing it as a Challenge I'll keep Monthly records split by Poker/Betting

Been busy doing jobs in the Garden today, so again little time for Poker ..... I did play a bit of cash early this morning and made a loss of a -£5.38

This afternoon between the showers I fought through a host of Betting and Betting Offers - there were so many I did make a couple of errors which can be very costly ... however on this occasion I benifited from them a little.

Worked Late last night meant too late to get any games in, and today I resisted the 2 Paddys $10 Added Value tournies - until the Poker Roll increases - and just played the Pantsdown Freeroll, and the WH Sidegames freeroll.

No cash in either, lost a flip TT v AK in the Pantsdown and went out 92/237 - Ace came on the River, but no problems with getting the money in when I did.
Went out of WH early.

Not much on the Betting front either over the last 2 Days - won a bit Yesterday, and lost a few pence today on a couple of Bandit offers.

There will definitely be some movement in the Betting Side over the Weekend as the Premiership Kicks off - and I'll probably have a couple of mug bets on the Football and Horses. Poker I've had an Invite to the Mini Masters tourney on PKR - although I've no cash on there to take a Rebuy or Addon - so see how that fares.

I've also updated my Poker Tracker 3 software and got the HUD working - which gives me a little more of a handle on the opponents styles. Although I see theres now a Poker Tracker 4 on the scene, and the PT3 will probably no longer be supported .
I'll see how I fare with PT3 before I invest another £40 in PT4.

I may try a bit of Micro Cash later to see how I fare with that and the HUD - I'll add any Profit or Loss from that onto tomorrows scores

Along line of glceud said - in the example last night the bookmaker offered a free £10 bet if you staked a £10 bet.(on US Racing) I bet the £10 and laid on exchange for minimal loss (actually no loss as the prices evolved) then with the 'Free' £10 I bet and laid for a small profit - i.e bet £10 to return £90 and the laid £9 to lose £79.50 - as it happened the 9/1 shot won so I made £10.50 profit - but even if it had lost I would have still made £9 (less commission) from the 'Winning' lay on the exchange.
Similar to Poker there is not as much value as there used to be in this, but they still appear around 2 or 3 times a week.

I'll tilt them slighly to get more profit from the result I fancy and maybe just no profit or loss from the outcome I don't fancy

The Just Like Riding and (falling off) a Bike Challenge

After a 2 year hiatus I began playing Online Poker again around 3 months ago.

When I stopped playing in May 2011 I had kept records of wins and losses on a blog, and had never had a losing year since I began online in 2007.

Within the 4 years I played I probably had no more than 2 losing Months (to my best recollection) - playing a mixture of micro cash games, freerolls and value added tourneys (of which there seemed to be a lot more than there is now )

I thought playing Poker was just like 'Riding a Bike', in that once you've got rid of the stabilisers everything is easy forever - However I've been back 3 Months and have yet to post a winning month, so either pokers changed a great deal, or I've lost some of my ; Skill-Luck-Good Fortune-Concentration-Desire or combination of 1 or more of those (of course I obviously know it's rigged as well)

So I thought maybe if I begin recording and telling people how bad I'm playing that I might concentrate, or have more desire to succeed,to avoid heaping more embarrassment upon myself .

I've also luckily been able to supplement my Poker losses with a bit of Betting, and Advantage play - so I'll record those within my challenge as well, to stop me ending up like a Charity case if the poker doesn't turn the corner - I'll try and post the betting and advantage play selections up prior, so I can't appear to only be selecting the winning bits -and wherever possible I'll post my Poker exploits on here also to encourage comment (or abuse) as people see fit

So let the 'Ride' commence .....

I've begun these ramblings as part of a Poker Challenge on 'Punters Lounge', but soon realised they are maybe less about Poker and more about other ways of making money whilst sitting at my PC.
Plus I can also enter a few life thoughts on here as well, without clogging up a Poker Forum with my rants and observations ....

So the next 'X' posts are my PL Posts with comments from other forum members where applicable
